When It Rains it Shines
One thing five straight days of rain in Madison is good for? The most amazing rainbow I have ever seen in my life. Looking down from our living room we could see literally everybody on the streets taking pictures with their phones. Don't see that everyday...

Handling Business
The length of blog posts are directly correlated to how good Monday Night Football games are. Tonight, Green Bay vs. Minnesota, in downtown Madison? Forget about it. I'm driving to Milwaukee tomorrow to have a meeting with PJ, owner of a sweet shop called Flow. Oh, and is anything wrong with Spring design previews? Nope. Nothing. Check Your Six.

Everything's Kinda Crazy When Your in China Baby
Started the day off right with some Whack Arnold's.

These guys got mad fired up watching ping pong.

I saw all of these waiters and waitresses outside the restaurant for the morning exercise, moments later they started dancing in unison. Needless to say, it was rather bizarre.

The corn and ham pastries are suprisingly good..

No Relation At All, No Problem At All
I wanted to post up a few shots of my dorm new apartment here in Madison, not much relation to Check Your Six...other than it being the ground control for all designs, web changes, photoshoots, emails, and advances in the brand in every single way. My uncle Steve owns the building, called The Lucky, which is basically in the heart of Madison with an incredible view.

All Day Hustle
So I spent the past four days in Whitehall, Wisconsin at a small bed and breakfast...certainly a nice little emotional break from the stresses of a big university mixed with running a clothing brand. But we're back on the saddle here at Check Your Six, Fall Lookbook now totally finished and available in our Collection section.

Big thanks to our friend Allen over at www.4rtofclean.com for the feature of our shoot under the 'Trends' section. Be sure to swoop over to his site and add it to the bookmarks, he does a great job of handpicking "blog worthy" news on a day to day basis. Be back soon!
Fall/Winter 2009 Shoot Sneak Preview
Here are some introduction shots of the shoot, I don't want to give away the coolest ones, so here's just some fun ones that I've been editing...enjoy the preview!

Newest release
Check Your Six has seemed to almost naturally progress in a more edgy, controversial direction...perhaps it's in our blood, or maybe we're just growing up...who knows. Nonetheless, our most recent product (which actually comes in two tee colorways and a hoodie), is actually two weeks late from what you have already seen in Logo and Roll That...The reason? The design offended a worker, hence, they would not print it. Awesome. After hearing this remark, the first thought that came to my head was, who the hell is offended by a terrorist being choked out? Oh yeah, terrorists. I mean...really? We have come that far socially that we really can't even print a shirt with a terrorist being choked out? We are at war. I know right? Imagine being told by an American company seventy years ago that "they wouldn't print an anti-Nazi shirt due to its offensive nature to one of their employees." Really makes you think.......

So there it is. Offensive and inappropriate? Let us hear your thoughts. So far we have had nothing but support from friends, buyers, associates, perhaps I am jumping too fast on the "damn political correctness" train due to one company policy...or maybe we have finally crossed that line of...what...support for the enemy?

Don't fret on no images of the hoodie quite yet, we will have some amazing shots from our photo shoot which is just being finalized. In the meantime, Check Your Six
The Big Shift
They say there are something like 4 big shifts that an individual goes through in a lifetime, college, marriage, children, and...death? Damn...things just got serious. On a light note, I have very recently embarked on the first one, college. I've made the transition from Murderapolis to Wiscompton...just kidding, from a suburb in Minnesota to an amazing city called Madison. Anyways, I'm rambling...but I think it had to be addressed. In some more Check Your Six related news, we now have two more tees printed up that are going to hit bandstands soon. Here's some shots:

So this tee is, to say the least, not your most discreet tee. But hell, who ever said discreet is good? Well...sometimes it is (Logo tee), but we all like to get wild right??

If you didn't get the reference, this tee is referring to the Wu Banger called 4/20. "Oh no! Meth done made a killing call the po-po."

Back of the tee

Up next is our CY6 Logo tee. Rock to the bars? Check. Rock to class? Check. Rock to the house party? Check.

Annnddd the blue colorway.

Want to also mention that these tees have our cool Check Your Six tees in as of now, but as of when I took the pictures, no such luck. Oh and also, I've never been much of a sticker slapper but around the streets of Madison at three in the monrning, I now have a new hobby. Is sticker slapping a hobby? It should be, but if anybody wants to join me in this fun activity, just ask...they're free :)
